The National Shooting Sports Foundation, a trade group for the firearms industry, wrote to Mayor Bloomberg yesterday asking that it be allowed to participate in his Guns Control Summit. In a news release the foundation said it would "welcome the opportunity" to educate the 15 mayors from around the country who are scheduled to be at Mr. Bloomberg`s summit about its crime reduction programs.
